A down day with a rodeo!

This morning we had to move campsites. It was uneventful but it was a warm morning. After we moved, we lounged and read for a while before heading into Cody to do our laundry. We grabbed a dinner buffet at the Irma Hotel (named after Buffalo Bill’s daughter). In addition to prime rib and ham, we had a chance to try buffalo. The ribs were good and I’d certainly eat them again.

Following dinner and picking up a few groceries, we headed to the rodeo. The Cody Rodeo runs every night during June, July, and August. We saw the cowboys and cowgirls riding the bucking horses, roping calves, bull riding, and barrel racing. They also included a number of junior events with kids as young as 10 years old.

Tomorrow we’ll head back into Yellowstone, but plan on making it a shorter day!

Having retired, we are enjoying travelling with our fifth wheel RV. We are from a small town in Southern Ontario.
