A summer-long trip to Alaska by way of the Yukon has been in planning stages for many years. Eleven years ago we cruised up the Alaska Inside Passage and had just a taste of Alaska. We debated at that time if we would take the cruise, but decided we wanted to see a bit in case “retirement never came”. Well, retirement did come and things finally fell into place this summer for us to leave on our trip. It is anticipated to take over three months – we’ll be home when the money runs out or we’re homesick or we’ve decided we’ve been gone long enough! Joyce decided to blog, so not only can others keep up to date on our travels, but also since we wanted to record it for ourselves, we thought we might as well share with those who were interested.
