Driving to Phillip Island

Saturday and Sunday were driving days. For most of it, we were inland as there weren’t many roads following the coast. A few places had a road that went to a coastal town but then it was a dead end. We had a bathroom stop in a town wth beautiful rose beds.

On Saturday we were able to stop by the shore for lunch.

Saturday night we stayed in Lakes Entrance. Paul went for a long walk in the evening and was able to capture pictures of a few birds.

This cluster of trunks was about 10 ft. across!

The sunset was a perfect ending to the day.

Sunday we crossed over the bridge onto Phillip Island where we would spend 2 nights.

We opted to stay on Phillip Island which is south of the huge city of Melbourne.

Arriving in the village of Cowes, the main road was a beautiful canopy of trees.

Monday will be a busy day in nature.

Having retired, we are enjoying travelling with our fifth wheel RV. We are from a small town in Southern Ontario.
