The Hogsback and lots of Aspens!

We left Thursday morning to move to our next campground. That meant travelling back across Hwy 12 towards Boulder and across the area known as the Hogsback. Despite having the trailer this time, the trip over didn’t bother me quite as much as it did on Tuesday. Maybe it was the direction we were travelling? We did have lots of beautiful scenery!

And the yellows of the Aspens!
And the golds about 9000’ elevation
Back down to lower elevation. Aspens are gone and red rocks in a distance.

Our stop for the next 2 nights is a small private campground called Sleepy Hollow, near Caineville, UT. The owner says it will be full this weekend, although at 2 pm today there was only one other camper here.

We’re now in Capital Reef National Park. We saw some different scenery since entering the park but with the trailer, decided we should defer our picture-taking until tomorrow when we’ll do some driving back to the visitor centre and a scenic drive or two.

Having retired, we are enjoying travelling with our fifth wheel RV. We are from a small town in Southern Ontario.
